Supporting Youth mission efforts – World Vision & Heifer Project
Calvary UMC believes that an essential part of following Jesus is service. Calvary’s Short-Term Mission Trip philosophy is to expose people to different kinds of service in different locations so that they can discern what kind of service God is calling them to in the long run.

In 2017 & 2019 Calvary hosted a summer “Mission Week” with various mission opportunities onsite at the church and in the community. In the years that we do not participate in a mission trip, we organize several outreach projects. Be sure to watch our website posts and monthly newsletter for service opportunities.

“Home Is Where The Heart Is” was the theme of this Mission Trip that Calvary UMC created in their very own hometown of Fayetteville, PA. A 10 person Mission Team made up of 6 students and 4 Adult Leaders joined 7 Skilled Worker Adult Leaders, and nearly 85 others within Calvary’s own congregation to create a Mission Trip in our local community. Through the Mission Team’s fundraising efforts, partnership with local organizations, and the support of the congregation, Calvary was able to complete roofing projects, decks, wheelchair ramps, landscaping, outdoor and indoor painting, food baskets for 10 local families, a meal serving 125 people in our community and MUCH MORE!
