Our Mission

To make followers of Jesus Christ.

Sharing God’s love through worship, learning, and service.

What We Believe

We believe that it is our purpose to reflect the Light of Christ. We are called by Jesus to be his witnesses in our neighborhood and around the world. As a community of faith we strive to develop followers of Jesus Christ who have a real faith which makes a real difference in the real world. We seek to accomplish our mission through worship, learning, and service.

LANDA MILLER
LANDA MILLERSecretary
Landa grew up in Baltimore and became a member of Calvary United Methodist Church after her family moved here in 1968. A graduate of Towson University with a BA in Early Childhood Education, she taught second grade for several years at the original Andrew Buchanan Elementary School before it was destroyed by fire. She has always been an avid Oriole fan & likes to challenge herself with word puzzles of any kind. She is an animal lover and the proud “human” to a brown and white shih-tzu named BJ (little Bon Jovi), which is, by the way, her favorite band.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.
